300 units FREE electricity in Punjab

The Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government today declares 300 units of free electricity for every household from July 1, according to the state's Public Relations Department.
The announcement comes just one month after the Bhagwant Man-led government took office.
Noting that the Punjab government may issue a statement this week, Prime Minister Bhagwant Mann said on Tuesday that he would soon give "good news" to the people of the state."We had a wonderful meeting with our leader, the Prime Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal. "We will soon bring good news to the people of Punjab," Mr Mann tweeted.

Meanwhile, Punjab Congress leader Amarinder Singh Raja Waring visited the head of government visually and questioned the move, citing the conditions attached to it.
"Eating evidence of pudding is included ... free 300 units of electricity will be tested based on the details and conditions related to it. Good luck to PSPCL, who now have to survive somehow," said Mr. Waring wrote on Twitter.
We test the authenticity of your 300 units of free power in the details and terms that come with it.
Good luck to PSPCL who have to survive somehow now.

Significantly, Punjab has already provided free electricity to the agricultural sector. In addition, 200 units provide free electricity to all Scheduled Castes, Underdeveloped Castes and families below the poverty line.
One of the main commitments of the AAP was to provide free electricity to all households up to 300 units before the Punjab General Assembly vote.

AAP convener and Delhi Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal said in a pledge last year that despite too much power generation in the state, prolonged power outages were being introduced and many people's bills were swollen.

"There are many people in villages who got "wrong" bills and their power connections were cut because of the non-payment and such people resorted to stealing power," Mr Kejriwal had said.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann last month declared the rollout of the doorstep ration delivery scheme, which was likewise AAP's key mission plan in the surveys.

Prior on March 19, Mr Mann, in the primary choice of his first Cabinet meeting, opened up 25,000 jobs in different state government offices, incorporating 10,000 in the Police Department.

In last month's Punjab Assembly surveys, the AAP annihilated the Congress, the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party consolidate and the BJP-Punjab Lok Congress-SAD (Sanyukt) union.

Remarks
The Congress, which was in power in the state, got 18 seats in the 117-part gathering, while the AAP won 92 seats.
